OKLAHOMA YOUTH ALL-STATE AWARD

 

Starting in 2010-2011 season, ALL the Oklahoma Youth All State Awards will require a community service project, so basically, ALL Oklahoma Youth All State Awards will require a community service project after the 2009-2010 season.

 

Verifiable Community Service project. This needs to be for multiple weeks and be of the type:

 

  • Meals on Wheels
  • Working a food pantry or at the Food Bank
  • Salvation Army bell ringing during the Christmas season
  • Roadside or neighborhood trash pickup
  • Community beautification
  • Nursing Home or Hospital projects
  • Any project that will benefit the elderly or less fortunate or the community in general

Again, we will need a contact person to verify your participation and the project.

 

Contact me with any that are not covered here and will need to be completed before Dec 31, 20010 for the 2010-2011 season award.

 

Oklahoma Youth Wrestler of the Year:

This for WINNING USJOC, Tulsa Nationals, OKWA State, and the Series in the SAME season. If multiple wrestlers achieve this we will have multiple Wrestler of the Year that particular year.

 

Oklahoma Youth All State Award is for:

Placing 1-6 at USJOC & Tulsa Nationals & OKWA State & 1-5 Series in the same season

 

Oklahoma Youth Academic All State Award is for:

  • Placing at any 2 of the 4 All-State events (1-6 at USJOC,  1-6 at Tulsa Nationals, 1-6 at OKWA State,  1-5 Series) in the same season.
  • 3.80 or higher GPA (this will have to be verified with a report card or a school official). This is basically 1 B, the rest A’s. If the school does not give A,B,C, then it needs to be the highes level given for that grade.

 

 

SUPER Oklahoma Youth All State Award is for:

Meeting BOTH the All State and the Academic All State standards.

 

The “Super” part of ANY of the Awards is for meeting THAT award plus the Academic part. (I.E. Super Oklahoma Youth Wrestler of the Year,  Super Oklahoma Youth All State, or any new awards added at a later date)

 

I need ANYONE who meets this criteria to EMAIL ME. We're getting the lists and Awards together.

They will be presented at the OPENING Ceremonies at the USJOC next year

 

We will have awards for all these categories so start emailing me with names so I can start my lists please. The wrestling part is completed for the past season, we just have to finish and verify community service projects or GPA.

 

These awards will be for each season and the projects will need to be completed before December 31st of the last year of a season. (I.E. the 2008-2009 season basically is Sept 2008 through February 2009. Projects need to be completed by December 31st 2009)
