Entry fee:                        $12.00 per wrestler 

All entries must be paid prior to or at weigh-in as a team, including no-shows and are non-refundable.  Wrestlers may be double entered in two separate divisions, but not two weights in the same division.

 

Entry deadline: All entries must be received by 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2007.  Please specify OPEN or *NOVICE when entering your wrestlers!!!  Entries can be sent by e-mail to bridgett.griffin@yahoo.com (preferred) or can be phoned in to 405-550-3094.  No late entries or weight changes the day of the tournament.  No weight allowances will be given.  Checks should be made payable to Harrah Takedown Club.

 

                        *Novice wrestlers are 1st or 2nd year wrestlers who have not placed 1st or 2nd in an open tournament                                 with 6 or more in the bracket including themselves.

 

Weigh-Ins: Harrah High School Gym – all divisions – 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.  All wrestlers are required to wear a singlet at weigh-in.  No parents are allowed in the weigh-in room.

 

Eligibility: Cut off date of September 1, 2007.  Wrestlers must be able to show proof of birth date if challenged.  Wrestler’s age must be challenged before the second round begins.

 

Format: Double elimination.  Three and four man brackets will wrestle round robin.  We reserve the right to combine weights if necessary.

 

Regulation matches: DIV I   (1-1-1)

                        DIV II-V  (1˝-1˝-1˝); Consolation (1-1-1); Final consolations (1˝-1˝-1˝)

                        Sudden death overtime – 1 minute; No challenges

 

Wrestling will begin at approximately 9:00 a.m.

 

All shoelaces must be secured or taped when wrestling.  All decisions made by the officials are final.  Harrah Takedown Club holds the right to combine weights to provide competition in brackets with less than three entries.

 

Awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place awards will be presented for each weight.

 

Gate fee: $3.00 (12 & under free)

DIV I (6 & under): 37, 40, 43, 46, 49, 52, 55, 60, 66, HWT

DIV II (8 & under): 43, 46, 49, 52, 55, 58, 61, 64, 67, 70, 75, 83, 90, 105, HWT

DIV III (10 & under):                        52, 55, 58, 61, 64, 67, 70, 73, 76, 80, 85, 90, 100, 110, 120, 131, HWT

DIV IV (12 & under):                        64, 67, 70, 73, 76, 80, 84, 88, 92, 86, 100, 105, 110, 120, 130, 140, 160, HWT

OPEN ONLY - DIV V (15 & under):                        78, 86, 94, 102, 110, 118, 126, 134, 142, 152, 165, 185, HWT

 

Breakfast items will available for purchase at the concession stand Saturday morning.

 

All participants must have their own insurance.  Harrah Takedown Club and Harrah Public Schools will not be held responsible for accidents, theft or injuries.  Disorderly conduct of any kind will not be tolerated.
