Our Story - Why We Raise Beef

Good Stewards of the Land
The Dixon family land was settled during the Oklahoma Land Run of 1898 and has been farmed by a family member ever since. Our mission to this precious resource has always been to be good stewards and to preserve this land for generations to come. We carefully cultivate and manage the land and crops to persevere this wonderful gift God has given us to protect. Our family takes pride in our beef and are passionate about our product. Sustainable grazed pastures, good cross breed cattle, year-round forage diet rich in nutrients and energy; free of antibiotics and growth hormones. Good for the cattle, the earth, and you.

Our Beef
We raise our beef the old fashioned way, the best way, which means our cattle are raised as nature intended—free of antibiotics and growth-promoting hormones, on open pastures and never in feedlots. Our beef is fed wheat pasture and Bermuda grass; the last 60+ days a mixture of alfalfa hay and a good corn mix to make the meat tender and give it that excellent taste and just a touch of that beautiful marbling.

GOOD FOR THE CATTLE
  • We raises a cross breed of Beef Master Cows bred to Angus Bulls which brings together the best of both breeds.
  • Pasture-raising develops strong immune systems, eliminating the need for antibiotics.
  • We choose nature’s way – patience and care, never using growth hormones.

  • GOOD FOR THE EARTH
  • Properly grazed pastures dramatically reduce soil erosion and reduces fuel usage.
  • Protect water quality by reducing topsoil erosion.
